There are various reasons why a title winner loses their crown throughout the year they are reigning. Some reasons include disrespecting a Director or ignoring their instructions, abusing another title winner or anyone associated with RUP, using excessive profanity (title winners must uphold a standard of dignity and respect therefore profanity is not allowed), theft of any kind, refusing to attend a scheduled appearance, excessive tardiness, etc. If any of these things should happen a Notice to Relinquish title/crown will be sent to the title winner immediately and they will have 24 hours to sign it and agree to the decision to remove their crown. Membership is still active but the ex-title winner will be required to pay a fee to remain a member. Any title winner that loses their crown will not be welcome to compete in another pageant produced by RUP. That includes anyone that has franchised an RUP business in another state or country.
