We take every effort and measure we can think of to make sure none of our contestants end up disqualified. However, sometimes things happen that can cause a contestant to behave in a less than respectful or appropriate way and this can cause a disqualification. Some reasons for disqualification include: refusing to abide by contract rules, showing up late to rehearsals all the time, disrespecting another contestant, superhero, director, vendor or sponsor, stealing from anyone or RUP in general, using profanity (profanity is not allowed due to the nature of our productions and our mission to make sure youth are presenting themselves in a respectable light), sexual harassment of any kind, refusal to pay sponsor fees, non-participation in activities leading up to the production and during production, creating a chaotic or uncontrolled environment where a contestant frequents, aggressive our evil behavior, misrepresenting our system, giving away passwords or proprietary information, engaging in criminal or illegal behavior, dropping out of school or college, holding a grade below a C average, and other things that will be discussed during orientation. All contestants will be required to read and sign a Code of Conduct form as well as an Agreement form during orientation and prior to competition day.
